How Scores and Medals Work

The EcoVadis assessment evaluates companies using a sustainability scoring system ranging from 0 to 100, based on performance across four ESG themes: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.

In addition to the score, companies may receive medals that recognize top-performing organizations relative to all companies evaluated globally.

Since 2024–2025, medals are awarded based on percentile ranking rather than fixed score thresholds. This means a company’s recognition depends on how it performs compared with other companies in the database over the previous 12 months.
